Vehicle Description
Up for grabs is a 1998 Mazda B3000. I bought this truck from a young guy (my apprentice) because he needed cash fast for a vacation. I was going to make it a little project truck and and fix up things here and there but it’s been sitting in my garage for too long now.
4x4 works great
Includes Deezee toolbox
Has bed liner
Here’s what I have done:
-Brand new Yukon limited slip differential (1 year factory warranty)
-Replaced the rear brake drums and all associated hardware
-New TPS sensor
This would be a great project truck. Motor is solid but needs miscellaneous repairs. Here’s what I think it still needs:
Check engine light is on for throttle position sensor. I believe this is due to a vacuum leak. I’ve checked everything except that.
Shakes a little bit at 55+mph.
Radio doesn’t work
Bench seat is stiff to adjust
Most of the exhaust is off because it broke at the connector (it sounds really beefy, but if you need a quiet vehicle this is a must fix)
Cosmetics, needs some body work...or not if that doesn’t bother you.
Speedometer doesn't work, I was told this is because it needs a new ABS sensor and/or connector
For those of you who don’t know, this truck was built by Ford. It is in every way a 1998 Ford Ranger. The Mazda brand changed some trim but everything else in it is Ford.
