Vehicle Description
For sale is my black on black 1999 Lexus LS400. I am the second owner after purchasing this car from an older gentleman ~3 years ago at 125k miles. Comes with OEM tool box, first aid kit, owner's manual, full-sized spare, etc. Even has the original embroidered Lexus rag with the packaging. Passes smog and registered until October 2020
Car is perfect mechanically/structurally. No lights, no rust. Everything functions as it should. Timing belt was changed at ~100k and I replaced the battery, fuel injectors, and brake pads within the last year
On the exterior, the paint could use some work as there's minor dings and scratches. As for the interior, there's no major cracking/tearing/warping, but the tint is starting to peel. All things considered, it's in great condition for a 20-year-old car. Nothing to complain about
A couple things worth mentioning:
- Speedometer runs high by about 10-15 mph depending on your speed. Can easily be recalibrated by a mechanic
- Hood support struts are on their way out. Simple DIY and they sell for around $20 on eBay, if it's an issue I can replace them myself prior to sale
Great platform for anyone looking to start their VIP build off right, or for anyone that just wants a reliable, badass, old school Japanese commuter. Goes without saying this car is bulletproof and rides like a dream. Not to mention that this car retailed at ~75k, so it comes with all the luxuries commonly found in modern cars today
I love this car, but it no longer suits my needs. I now travel between Los Angeles and San Diego almost weekly and need something more fuel-efficient
Looking to get $5000 OBO, no trades
