Vehicle Description
2000 BMW M-Roadster, One Owner, Only 58k miles. This is a rare car. Only 4338 were made in 2000 and of those only1,562 were in Titanium Silver. This car has all of the features of the M version including heated seats, power locks and windows, full gauges, and the power convertible top.
Upgrades and Extras Include:
6-Speed E-46 transmission, flywheel and clutch. This provides a 20% overdrive feature which reduces highway RPMs by 600 to 700 RPMs. This reduces fuel consumption, engine wear, and interior noise. The shift knob is from the same M3 that the trans came from and is illuminated like the stocker when the lights are on.
Factory Hardtop. This was installed only two years ago. Provides more headroom than the stock convertible top (which is still installed under the hardtop), has a useable rear window, and provides a quieter ride. This extends the useable driving season.
Brand new cooling system which includes:
-New high flow water pump
-New 1-Piece polished aluminum high flow radiator. The original radiators have a plastic tank bonded to the radiator core. These are known to fail and leave you stranded. This new 1-piece radiator cannot fail like the stock one.
-New aluminum thermostat housing and OEM thermostat. The stock t-stat housing is plastic and prone to fail. The aluminum replacement cannot fail like the stock one.
-New OEM upper and lower radiator hoses.
-All cooling system upgrades were performed by certified BMW techs.
18" Wheel upgrade. Wheels are staggered and wider than stock 17" wheels.
STRONG (tm) Strut Brace and Full Body Brace Set.
-The strut brace connects the two front strut towers to strengthen the entire front suspension.
-The front-to-rear braces and rear brace stiffen the rest of the chassis.
Oversize Anti-Sway bars. The anti-sway bars on the M version are already beefier than the regular Z3 bars, but these are twice the size of the M bars. This car handles FLAT in the turns.
Polyurethane rear bushings. The entire rear suspension was rebuilt using racing style bushings to replace the stock soft rubber bushings.
Brake pads and rotors were replaced at 40,000 miles, just because of age. The originals were hardly worn.
Braided steel brake hoses at all four corners.
A cold air intake kit is installed.
Extras included but not currently installed:
- A Supersprint (brand) exhaust system. Flows much more and weighs much less than the stock exhaust. A little loud for this old man's taste, but it's an expensive extra which is included.
- A second set of staggered 18" wheels with like new tires.
