Vehicle Description
Selling My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L V8 Hemi
Has a 2" lift with Goodyear Wangler Duratrack 265/70 R17 tires
Also has a performance chip installed, very quick and has some serious get up and go even on the stock setting. The person who had this before me did some fancy jeep performance advancements that go beyondmy knowledge.
Vehicle has a few little quirks that can be fixed.. the display screen for the radio/Nav/DVD etc... it randomly blacks out making it nonfunctional while blacked out.. but the power to the radio still works with volume control and station presets while blacked out. I believe it is a ground wire or something by the battery because I've wiggled them around and it works. I just don't know enough about that stuff to fix it and I'm fine with the way it is so I haven't bothered to pay someone to fix it.
The other issue is it does have an after market astro auto start. I have two fobs for it but one isn't programmed to the vehicle and the other one the batteries drain in the fob if left in it. Ive been told the one can be reprogrammed or purchase a new one for around a hundred or so. But Ive just been taking the batteries out of the fob and just put them in to start it and then take them out again..
In the last year and a half I have put a lot of new stuff around the engine. Water pump, thermostat, tensioner, pullies, belt, alternator, battery etc... two weeks ago I put in a brand new gas tank holder/skid plate ($375) because the old one was completely rusted out.. which is a known thing to happen on these jeeps.
Ive been told the engine itself is in excellent shape. This thing is snappy, tight and has some serious torque and power.
The carpet on the drivers side could use a good cleaning. There is one very small spot of edge rust on the bottom of the drivers side wheel well.. other than that the jeep is in really good shape..
Would be an excellent jeep for someone wanting to transform it into an off roader. Or is just fine for a commuter and adventurer.
