Vehicle Description
Selling my 08 DGM B. It has 147k miles. Just did every service i could to it, and some reliability mods.
Comes with Yimisport records and smog
Maintenance:
- Timing belt and water pump - 139k
- 4 NGK SILFR6A spark plugs - 142k
- Perrin Intercooler -> Throttle Body hose (stock one was blown out, and tends to continue to do so with new stock replacements)
- New turbo outlet and BPV gaskets
- New Denso 197-6040 MAF
- Denso o2 Sensor
- Cleaned the OCVs in response to a previous AVCS code at 140k. Hasn’t come back since.
- Motul 8100 5W-40 & Genuine oil filter, done twice in my ownership
- Motul Gear 300 75w-90 for trans and R. Diff
- Whiteline rear LCA bushings, old ones were shot
- New OEM lower ball joints
- New brake pads
- Banjo bolt filter delete
Mods:
- Fortune Auto 500 coilovers 5k/5k soft and supple street setup. I found them cheaper than the classic Bilstein HD/STI Pink combo, and the stock struts are SHOT. These ride better, perform better, and have virtually no increase in NVH.
- 4x JBL GTO609C speakers and tweeters. Sound good but the Legacy door rattle is slightly present. I did pretty extensive sound deadening and foam to eliminate most rattles but some are impossible to stop.
- I have an Accessport installed but it wont come with the car. Used it for diagnostic purposes and to see what the car responded to. Car is currently in stock tune.
- Red footwell lighting
- SPT Intake (sucks but came with the car)
Cons:
Drivers carpet is meh at best
Body has dents. Paint is in great shape, no fade.
Why am I selling it? It’s a great car, but ultimately not the experience I was looking for. Ive been working through the kinks and I put a ton of hours into the car. It’s mint to drive every day and I still am doing that. The coordination of the shifter and clutch and the sound of the engine are to die for. Its a sweetheart. It was also a learning experience about the attention these cars actually require. The MPGs and general refinement are not the best. I can only have one car so i’m just gonna go buy the E46 M3/135i i always wanted. It has no issues, no leaks. I am the third owner. Full disclosure, i got the car with a number of age related maintenance items that needed to be addressed and I got all of them done.
Clean CA title in hand in my name
Open to trades. Stick only. BMWs preferably.
