We have absolutely loved our FJ. We've owned it for 6 years and it hasn't had a single problem. We're only selling it because we've moved to a house where a higher MPG vehicle would be better for us than one with superb capabilities off road and in snow/ice. Our FJ has been meticulously maintained and doesn't need any work at all (we have all personal records in addition to Carfax records). The next oil change is due in 4-6K miles (we use high mileage synthetic oil). It currently has special winter tires with at least 20k-30k miles of life left (receipt included with records). You won't need to do anything for this vehicle any time soon.

We bought our FJ used 6 years ago and it came with off-roading lights and a hitch receiver with 4-pin and 5-pin electric connections, so it may have those packages (off-road and towing) but we aren't sure. It also has tinted windows (light in front and dark in back). We've pulled heavy trailers with little to no impact on performance. We added a Sirius/XM satellite/radio, white rock lights (under carriage), blue overhead and floor lights (a trick for warding off aggressive drivers at night...just flip on the overheads and any driver backs off ;), USB ports, and beautifully bright LED headlights. This vehicle also has very useful backup sensors.

If you're interested in off-roading, you won't find anything better. We used to have a Wrangler and our FJ is so much better for getting to the places no one else can get to. When we lived in the mountains, a terrible windstorm hit our town, leaving downed trees everywhere and taking out all power. I wouldn't have been able to get home without my 4WD and offroad lights illuminating the hanging limbs and dark terrain.

If you need to contend with snow/ice, we've driven no better vehicle. When 4WD isn't active, the FJ is AWD. It also includes the optional RR Differential Lock (shown in pictures), which helps you get out of any tough spots. The traction is so solid, you'll feel like you're driving a tank. The shifting is still beautifully smooth and forgiving, like driving a brand new vehicle.

Come test it out and you'll be delighted! Of all the vehicles we've owned over the years, this one is my favorite. Unfortunately for me, love must bow to pragmatism and my husband's long commute means we need a boring little car to replace this gem.
