Vehicle Description
Built by two serious autocrossers who I estimate put about $10,000 worth of pistons, rods, crank, heads, computer, and more into the engine, plus suspension upgrades. The adjustable cam compliments crank, rods, pistons and can be tuned from mild to wild. I turned it down for my street use, but it is there if you want it.
I turned this super-performance CRX into a radical street car that was also very much at home, impressive even, on autocross courses and race tracks. Registered, licensed and street legal, but runs with the fast guys when the limits are removed. The vintage Honda CRXs have impressive power-to-weight ratios. At 1820 pounds, it is quick in every way.
The whole story is longer than a Craigslist ad should be, so go see it at
While it is a nice 30-mile-per-gallon day tripper, it really shines when you take it to a track. This would be perfect for an autocrosser, or one who could make occasional trips to a road-racing course, but also enjoyed extreme agility in their street machines.
I am including the set of Panasport wheels (typical e-bay $450 each wheel) and nearly new winter tires. Also included is a pickup-load of spare parts.
It has a new racing bucket seat, 6-point harness and handles a bit like a modern sport bike.
Odometer is irrelevant. This is a fresh build of a classic, light-weight high-performance car. See the February/March 2022 restoration at the website link above.
