Vehicle Description
2001 Audi TT convertible. Low mileage 66k. It is a 4 cylinder turbo with a 6 speed manual transmission. Kind of took on as a project as it had been sitting in a garage for a number of years.
Timing belt done at around 60k miles
Air conditioning was completely replaced last year
New michelin tires and rims
Top was replaced in the last couple of years
It was tuned via ecu to 265hp stock is 225hp.
New air bag module
Brakes and rotors were replaced prior to my ownership
I have also done a bunch of little improvements to it.
Pro's
It drives extremely well and is very tight. Very fun to drive. It doesnt need anything major.
Con's
It still has abs light on as well as air bag light.
It has gotten wet a couple times in the past so it does have some residual mildew in the carpet. I have cleaned and treated it so it is getting to the point that its hard to notice. Not sure if the top was left open in the rain or whatever but I have never had a problem during my ownership (maybe why top was replaced by PO).
Not sure why but some times it will idle a little rough then increase idle and will stay at high idle until you tap the throttle.
The car shows really well but up close it does have some minor scratches and dings.
If you can deal with the above issues it is a great little car and is fast, handles well, and is extremely fun to drive. Kind of a budget porsche 911. Cheap fun and kind of old school.
Please call if you have any questions. Pictures are from last fall but car hasn't changed much although I did remove the center caps on the wheels. show contact info
It does have something weird with the title but I would have to explain that in person. Its clean but has a typo.
