Vehicle Description
After World War II, Kaiser Motors, a provider of Jeeps to the U.S. government, began making passenger cars.
Kaiser merged with Studebaker and Packard, but this fourth automobile manufacturing company was out performed by the Big Three (General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler) and went out of business in 1957.
The heart-shaped rear window and unique styling of the Kaiser was inspired by designer Dutch Darrin. Note that this is a Kaiser Sedan, a not the budget-end Kaiser-Fraser.
The car is complete, including a brand new off-the-shelf trunk lid (the only part of the car that had significant rust when I purchased it in 1998).
This is a project car that must be towed. The intake manifold and carburetor are disassembled.
Old man owner has a complete 1958 Edsel that is also available (see separate Craigslist listing).
