Vehicle Description
We are very pleased to be able to offer this stunning example of a real, matching numbers, factory 100M. This car is one of 640 factory built M’s, finished in stunning black over Colorado red. The car received a complete and total restoration by famed Tom Kovacs of “Fourintune ,” known throughout the world for their expertise with Austin-Healeys. Unlike most concours cars, this car has actually been thoroughly de-bugged and is an absolute joy to drive, with incredible reliability. Car has been a multiple winner in several concours, including the Brian Redman Award. This car competed and completed the 2017 British Reliability Run in the DC area, completing almost 1000 miles in 3 days. The car is a factory matching numbers car with Heritage certificate. It is currently going through the process to be listed on the 100M Registry, however Bill Meade knows the car, actually found the car prior to restoration and in his latest email to me stated, “I know the car is real.” Once that process is completed, the M Registry will be available to transfer to the new owners. We have had the pleasure of servicing this car for the past 10 or so years, and always were given carte blanche to do anything the car needed to be over-the-top reliable and always keeping the car as original as possible. To the best of my knowledge, one of the only things that has been upgraded would be a gear reduction starter. The car does come with the original Lucas starter also. The driving experience in this car is unlike most MG’s and Triumph’s- it has a very balanced feel with nice, smooth power and a factory overdrive to keep you in the power range at all times. It is very unusual to find a matching numbers 100M, and even more unlikely that you will find a car this stunning for our price. With current comps in the $210,000-230,000 range and unlikely any nicer, this car is not only great value but also is considered amongst all collectors to be a blue chip investment. We are a licensed, bonded, Virginia auto dealer, and have been selling rare collectible sports cars throughout the world for the past 20 years. Please call us, as we can help with shipping and any other questions that you may have, and have the ability to help get to port for overseas delivery. $199,500 Please visit our website for more details at www.GassmanAutomotive.com, VADLR# 0727.
