Vehicle Description
This 1985 Chevrolet K10 Silverado was acquired by the seller in 2009, and it was subsequently refurbished and modified. The exterior was refinished in black, the bench seat was reupholstered with tan cloth, and an LQ9 Vortec V8 stroked to 6.2 liters and fitted with a Procharger supercharger was installed. Additional modifications include a new three-speed automatic transmission, a New Process dual-range transfer case, limited-slip differentials, a custom dual-exhaust system, a lift kit, methanol injection, 15″ Weld wheels with 35″ tires, and a Pioneer CD stereo with aftermarket speakers and amplifiers. Recent service included an oil change and replacement of the spark plugs.
The exterior is finished in black and features chrome trim, aftermarket front turn signals, a tinted rear window, and a receiver hitch.
Forged 15″ Weld Mountain Crusher wheels wear 35″ Interco TrXus M/T tires. The suspension is equipped with a Rancho steering stabilizer and dampers, and has been lifted with modified springs and 1″ blocks.
The cabin features a bench seat reupholstered in tan patterned cloth, along with matching carpets protected by aftermarket floor mats. Amenities include a B&M shifter, power windows, map pockets, and a Pioneer CD stereo hooked to amplifiers and subwoofers mounted behind the seat and speakers mounted in the doors. The dashboard was recovered in vinyl, a replacement headliner was installed, and Dynamat sound dampening material has been applied under the carpet.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames AutoMeter instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, 10k-rpm tachometer, auxiliary gauges, and a column-mounted boost gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows under 4k miles.
The fuel-injected LQ9 Vortec V8 sourced from a GMC Denali is said to have been stroked to 6.2 liters and is equipped with the following components:
- Procharger supercharger
- Snow Performance methanol injection
- Aeromotive fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator
- Comp Cams camshaft
- CNC-ported 317 heads
- Polished Manley Performance valves
- Forged JE pistons and connecting rods
- Cloyes timing chain kit
- High-volume oil pump
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with an aluminum pan and a billet torque converter paired with a New Process transfer case and limited-slip differentials. The modified dual magnaflow and x-pipe exhaust system terminates above the rear axle, and additional photos of the underside are available in the gallery below.
