That longitudinal mill kicks a hydraulic clutch, which spins a tough 5-speed transaxle that was derived from Ferrari's 312T Formula 1 car. There's a fully independent suspension that's fully driver-adjustable. Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering was a welcome addition to the Mondial's T variant. Stops are provided by power-assisted discs, which benefit from standard ABS. And in front of those brakes, attractive alloys spin 205/55ZR16 BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2s in front of 245/50ZR16 BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2s. The interior of the Mondial is no less luxurious than Ferrari's concurrent 2-seater models. Standard bucket seats sport rich Connolly Leather hides. Between those seats, a wrapped console toggles a polished shifter in front of factory climate control. At the front of that console, a warp-free dash frames vintage telemetry.
