This Shelby Series 1 is number 173 of 249 produced by Shelby American. The Series 1 is the only car designed and engineered by Carroll Shelby from a clean sheet of paper and built from the ground up. Performance Specs: 0-60: 4.4 seconds Top Speed: 170 mph Engine: Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0L 32 valve V8 Transmission: 6-sped ZF transaxle Hand-fabricated tube frame The Series 1 is a quintessentially street legal race car. The suspension is a highly sophisticated race-quality setup that uses pushrods to mount the coil-over shocks inboard to reduce the unsprung weight. The new Nitto NT555R 305/40/R18 drag radial rear tires ensure the car sticks to the road. Leather bucket seats are custom made featuring Carroll Shelby’s signature embossed in the backs, with the ability to add a 5-point harness system. The convertible top folds away out of sight in a compartment located behind the cockpit.
