Details / Modifications:My objective on this car was to protect the (Certified Pre-Owned) manufacturer's warranty which is a longer warranty than buying the vehicle new. I was planning to keep this vehicle for the long haul and didn't want any surprises when going in for service. The only modifications that were made were to either protect it, add value, or make the driving experience better, but also could be removed quickly and easily without doing anything to the vehicle. Honda made these things pretty great as-is and I'm more of an OEM+ sort of enthusiast most of the time. All modifications have less than ~4,000 miles. It is in excellent shape.
Exterior:
Full Paint Correction, including touchups, followed by Full Front Paint Protection Film (PPF), including front, lights, full hood, fenders, door cups + more + warranty with receipt/invoice
Full Ceramic Coating + warranty with receipt/invoice
3M Grey Pinstripe on top of the factory red stripe on the bottom lip/ground effects, you can simply peel it off and the red (OEM) stripe is there, untouched.
Wheels/Tires/Lugs/Etc:
Stock Wheels on Stock Tires (Newer Tires)
Interior:
Sweidit Suede Custom Steering Wheel - Double Thickness, Red Stiching, Nappa Leather on Sides, Alcantara/Suede on Top and Bottom - It is heaven.
27won Weighted Leather Shift Knob - Matches the interior and steering wheel perfectly, much more ergonomic and comfortable especially on hot/cold days.
Broadway Mirror - if you don't want it, I'll use it in one of my other vehicles. It increases the rear view sight area slightly.
What Comes with the car?
Two Keys
Not Installed but included:
- Stock Shift Knob
- Aftermarket (smoked) bumper/side marker lights - never installed.

More / Closing Comments:Before I purchased this car - I considered buying new, but I actually came to prefer the pre-2020 models that don't have Honda Sensing. I like "less" driving aids on a car meant for the track, which this vehicle has never seen but I think the new owner should consider it, as that's where you can fully enjoy a vehicle like this. The cosmetic changes of the 2020/2021 you can do to this car if you were so inclined, like adding the "nike" "swoosh" "garnishes" that are on the bumpers/valances from a 2020/2021. Part of the fun of these vehicles is the ability to make them your own as the aftermarket has responded with many paths in whatever you want to do, I had my eye on maybe getting the Spoon full body kit down the line.
The production of the FK8 has come to an end, and will be a future classic. Prices are still quite high for all vehicles. Many Type R's have more miles, modifications, or changes to the engines that I'd personally stay away from. If you compare this to other vehicles for sale, with a dealer or car buying service fees, your actual "purchase price" is near or above my asking price without the extras that this car has. I was just reassured that the paint protection film and ceramic coating warranties transfer to the next owner when this car was just detailed too. The next Type R will have dealers adding "market adjustments" just as they did with this generation, in likely unfathomable amounts. If you want a Type R, my biased opinion is mine is probably a better buy.
When I was looking for a Type R, I knew I wanted one that was stock and treated with care. The first owner of this vehicle was an elderly man that bought it new, and traded it in with only ~7,XXX miles on it. The certified pre-owned certification/warranty sealed the deal for me. As a barely but still used car, there are some slight imperfections in the paint or scuffs but I rushed to get the paint protection film and ceramic coating done to preserve it and do my best to keep it in great shape. It is an amazing blend of practicality, performance, efficiency, and even comfort in one vehicle. No pets or kids ever in vehicle under my ownership, rear seat has barely been sat in.
I only drive it when the weather is nice, and it is treated with respect. Parked in garage or under cover at work. Miles will go up slowly as I still really enjoy driving it. I know that I will miss this car, it was a dream to find a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) Type R in Sonic Grey Pearl. If you wanted this vehicle without the Rays (blue wheels) I'd consider that. Really those are the only things that I'd be willing to remove to change the price slightly. I will only sell the wheels after the vehicle has sold if the new owner doesn't want them. Vehicle is paid off, but we will meet at my bank to verify funds, notarize a bill of sale and the title so it's transferred to your name and we can both be on our way. You get to drive away while I hope I didn't make a huge mistake. Private party sale, I am not a dealer, so no sales tax or extra fees.

So why are you selling the car?I simply have my eyes on getting a project car that is much older, and if plans work out, that could be my "forever" project before I either can't afford one, or don't have the time to have a bigger project. I also don't have enough garage space as is. I may be able to have less cars by acquiring something I've always wanted but this is unknown and totally not a legally binding contract if my wife is reading this. As stated before, I am in no rush to sell the car, I see the value as there so please only contact me if you are truly interested in the vehicle. Thank you for reading this novel.
