This '89 Soarer is a great choice for a first time JDM buyer. It carries with it a large community of US owners who carry a wealth of parts and modification knowledge. It is very similar to the USDM offered MK3 Supra (1986-1993), so many maintenance consumables such as air filters, spark plugs, oil filters, and drivetrain components are domestically available and affordable. Being a GT trim package (mid-level trim), it features a fully digital dashboard package, power windows, power mirrors, and Toyota's automatic TEMS (Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension) system. TEMS will automatically adjust the stiffness of the suspension in accordance with the vehicle's speed and steering input, providing an enhanced driving experience. It also allows for the system to be placed into either "Sport" or "Normal" modes to force the suspension to stiffen or harden.
