2003 Porsche Boxster; First update of original 986(point 2).
Major refresh.
Ready for another hundred thousand miles.
Engine out update (see picture) and clutch job (pressure plate, friction plate, throwout bearing. pilot bearing and slave cylinder. 3000 miles and first oil change. It doesn't leak, oil or coolant, starts right up, runs perfect right to redline, goes from growl to howl, does not drone at steady freeway speed.
IMS upgrade. 'European parts solution, an elegant permeant upgrade for the Infamous IMS bearing.
2.7 liter flat six, five speed manual, cruise, heated electric seats, nice top, glass rear window, good brakes and suspension components. New 17” Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires.
Paint chips and minor dings professionally renovated, Pro job, looks new, stock color Deep Forest Green.
Machine shop Serti cut the valve seats and valves, replaced the valve guide seals, machined the heads flat, cleaned like new.
New Coolant tank, Air Oil Separator, Oil cooler, water pump, thermostat, oil pressure relief valve, chain tensioner.
Starter, fuel pump and fuel level sender. New fluids and a new battery. Front struts, front hood release, headlight switch, color matched front marker lights.
Why am I selling? I made this for myself… closest thing to a motorcycle on four wheels. my passion for decades. I ain’t sayin I’m old but it’s difficult to get in n out of. I love driving it, its super sharp and solid feeling.
