Vehicle Description
Almost a 4 year rebuild, exterior, interior and motor! This is literally a new 62 year old 1957 Chevy! Dash pulled and new tilt steering column put in, along with heater core and electric windshield wipers. Did not want a cheap Jegs or Summit motor, so had one built in Phoenix by Five Star. It has a 350 Chevy orange engine block with chrome everywhere it could be put and it has 325 HP with around 1000 miles on it. Also has premium headers installed and has a 350 automatic turbo transmission. White lettered TA Radials on old style Cragars, air shocks in the rear, front disc brakes with a new dual line master cylinder and booster along with power steering. We were going to do an entire off-frame restoration and tore off the front end and the car was to solid and did not need it! A picture is listed of the floor boards that still has the gray primer on them, along with a picture of the trunk, we peeled back the original leather bound carpet and it looks like like a couple year old car!
We think the car only has a little over 100,000 original miles on it! But since we had the front end off we put in all new inner wheel wells, radiator housing and an all aluminum radiator. Then we put in new headlight frames, all new grill with LED parking lights and at the same time put LED lights in the rear tail lights also. On the interior we put in new Scat bucket seats and got 4-yards of additional material to re-do the back seats, back deck, door side panels, rear side panel, kick plates and even had a custom center console made. At the end of 2017 we put in a new LED radio with Bluetooth capabilities and we have 4 new Pioneer speakers. There is new carpeting and insulation on the floors along with Chevy floor mats. Front and rear bumpers are original, but we put in over $4000.00 worth of chrome and stainless on the exterior along with new door latches, locks and strike plates. New black paint job with 3 coats of clear to really make it shine! And in the beginning of 2018 we also installed a new battery, but just to many things done to the car to list! We are down sizing our house for retirement and do not want to pay for storing it. Car is beautiful and immaculate and we have over $50,000 invested in the rebuild!
