Vehicle Description
1998 Honda Civic LX for sale.
This car has been my rock solid daily driver for 20 years (80% highway). It has been driven much less since moving to Colorado since I now work from home. It has been garaged most of it's life. It has been an incredibly reliable car the entire time and has never been in a serious accident (2-3 fender benders). It has a nice 5 channel amp in the trunk that powers the speakers. It has a channel for a subwoofer, but I haven't had one in years. Tires have a good bit of life left and the battery is 4 months old.
Current operational issues with car (none of which prevent you from getting from A to B):
- Speedometer, intermittently, does not operate. This has been going on for about a year and I estimate it puts the current odometer reading off by a maximum of 250 miles.
- Driver's side lock does not consistently lock/unlock with the power locks
- Suspension is a bit squeaky and creaky. It is still all original so this expected.
- I removed the headliner because it was sagging and I didn't feel like having it reupholstered. I have the headliner if one wants to reinstall it.
- (EDIT) I forgot to add that the AC motor that moves the vents from feet to face to windshield (for defrost) has an issue so the defroster is pretty weak.
Cosmetically, the clearcoat is wearing off in some spots and the car has good number of scratches. The interior is very clean and minimally worn for it's age since it had a single occupant on 99% of it's mileage.
Most oil change have been done at a dealership. Recent oil changes have been done at Freedom Honda. Neither Honda nor the Honda only mechanic I have taken the car to has said anything about serious issues with the car.
