Runs excellent , and as usual , extensive work has been done to the engine. New head gasket ( along with that, all 14 cylinder head bolts drilled,Re-tapped & reinforced with steel timesert thread inserts, so never again…)
*New timing chain guides in the block and new timing cover gaskets, and front crankshaft seal. The guides were old and brittle, therefore replaced , not a big deal with the cylinder head off.
After 20+ years on the road, things like this have to be considered, during a major engine service, for maximum longevity.
Reassembled with all new GERMAN OEM part & gaskets from the engine block up to the valve cover gaskets. Intake, Exhaust, new cam sensor o-rings. New plastic Vanos sealing plugs(2). New spark plugs, both new plastic coolant pipes (under the intake manifold) , new air filter, oil filter, thermostat , coolant reservoir , transmission cooler ( coolant reservoir mounted ) thermostat, genuine BMW coolant. And a new genuine BMW CCV ( crankcase vent valve ) to top it all off.
So basically a complete engine refresh.
All work done at a BMW-only , specialist shop , commercial location, by a BMW Master Tech, engine builder.

No leaks
Passed smog this week , with current smog certificate
The suspension is tight
The brakes are good
The tires are good
The Factory stereo with navigation system still works great
The AC blows cold
All windows work and the sunroof works
It looks great, runs great, and is Smogged.
Clean title in my name
