Vehicle Description
You may look like you are in a WWII movie when you drive this Travelall, but this rare I.H. is actually a 1950’s survivor.
It has been re-built on a 1991 Suburban chassis with a 5.7 liter EFI, 700 R4 Automatic. In overdrive, it will cruise 70 mph at 2200 rpms. The original dash and steering wheel still feature round, Dolphin gauges, and the I.H. symbol. However, the gauges are new, and there’s now power steering along with front PDB.
The 2 front seats/windows are power, and all four plush bucket seats have seat belts. Adding to the comfort are 2 A/C’s with controls conveniently up by the driver. A center console has cup holders and a radio/ cd player. Visibility is great from 10 windows including 2 in the ambulance-style rear doors. These swing wide open for easy access to the large cargo space and the new battery and rear A/C.
If you need to haul more stuff, the class III hitch has a tow rating of 5,000 lbs. The Travelall interior is a soft charcoal. The entire body is a pleasing vanilla cream. The paint surprisingly is 30 years old and is showing some dings and bubbles. The overall appearance is enhanced by wide whitewall tires. 2 extra, matching tires are included.
