Vehicle Description
1969 Sunbeam Alpine GT.
Sunbeam was a solidly built British sports car known for robust engines and transmissions.
1969-70 were the last Sunbeams imported and they were all fastbacks. Very few were made and even fewer GT's.
All Alpine GT's had the 1725cc engine, five main bearings, aluminum cylinder head, finned aluminum oil pan, twin Zenith Stromberg carbs, 4-speed trans, vacuum assisted front disc/rear drum brakes. Wood dash , console and full instrumentation were included.
Recent work: clutch assembly, brakes including new lines, starter, fuel system, heater blower motor (that was a chore), new tires and battery. Steering rebuilt. New gaskets on all glass.
Carbs professionally rebuilt by a British car specialist.
All electrical systems work!
Very sound, drive anywhere. No smoke, 45-50 lbs oil pressure.
Interior: new dash, carpet and insulation. All else is original.
Renovated for driving. Any chrome trim not shown in photos comes with the car and is excellent.
Two boxes of new and used parts, Rootes Workshop manual included.
Not interested in trades.
I do not need any help selling!
