Used 1964 Shelby Cobra Replica for sale in Phoenix, AZ

This vehicle was donated to the Arizona Humane Society to raise funds for the most vulnerable animals in Arizona. It is being sold by and for the Arizona Humane Society. It is now owned and titled to the Arizona Humane Society.

This 1964 Shelby Cobra replica is a performance-enhanced, custom-built roadster with Edelbrock heads, an aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, and auxiliary gauges, now offered for sale by the Humane Society to which it was donated by the prior owner. It is powered by a period-correct Ford Galaxie 289ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Finished in Patriot Blue Metallic over a black leather interior, this Cobra is titled as a 1964 Cobra and is now offered with a tonneau cover, a fire extinguisher, a fire extinguisher, a tool bag, and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.

This replica is finished in Patriot Blue Metallic from the Dodge color palette and was professionally assembled from a 289 Deluxe Pallet Kit from Unique Motorcars. It features a wide-body enhanced shape and has a hood scoop, vented fenders, side-outlet exhausts, and a tubular rollbar in addition to chrome bumperettes front and rear. There are “Powered by Ford” and “Cobra” emblems present, and the overall exterior is in excellent shape aside from some minor rock chips present per the seller.

PSE polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires that were replaced in 2015. The suspension is an adjustable coilover system that utilizes a Jaguar independent rear suspension, and braking is handled by Wilwood discs.

The interior is fitted with black leather bucket seats and matching door panels, dash, and carpeting which were all new at the time of the build. The interior features M&R racing harnesses, map pockets in the door panels, and deep footwells with carpeted mats. The dash has a cluster of center-mounted gauges and a glove compartment at the passenger side, with a USB charger inside.

Instrumentation is framed by a wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges in the center-dash for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage just above an analog clock. The Speedhut speedometer has timers for tracking acceleration data. The digital odometer reads just under 6k miles, which the seller asserts reflects the mileage driven on the build.

The 289ci V8 was sourced from a 1966 Ford Galaxie and has been upgraded with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Holley 600 double-pumper carburetor, a TuffStuff 160-amp alternator, and MSD ignition components. The motor’s casting number is C6AE-6015-C and it was manufactured 12/29/1965. Period-style Cobra valve covers, air cleaner, and oil filter cap have been added, and the car has an aluminum radiator with dual cooling fans. Select maintenance records will accompany the car, including record of an oil change, differential gear oil change, brake fluid flush, and fuel filter change under prior ownership. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with a Girling hydraulic clutch, and the car has a 3.31 rear differential.

This vehicle was sold to the person that donated it to the Arizona Humane Society three years ago on Bring a Trailer.
