-What needs attention or hasn’t been addressed
The water tank and pump are not functioning. We stopped using the tank and disconnected the pump after worrying about drinking water from 30-year-old plastic. It is still in place and can be used, replaced or removed.
Cruise control is sporadic. Probably a wiring issue in the steering column.
A/C not working
The body is in fair condition. I stripped out the inside of the van in 2011 for rust removal and repair, but like all of these, it is always an ongoing battle and some seam rust has returned. The van was cheaply repainted before we purchased it and that paint is beginning to flake off. It has a few battle scars from over the years.
We bought and used it to explore the Northwest outdoors - The forest service roads and beyond. This is not a pavement princess. But if you are looking for a very reliable van that you can comfortably take anywhere without worrying about scratching the new paintjob, this might be the one.
